Day 1
Your trip begins with a morning pickup from Chandigarh. After meeting the group, start your scenic drive towards Narkanda via Shimla, Kufri, and Theog. On the way, you can visit Hatu Peak (if open) and Tani Jubbar Lake. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views as you continue your journey along the Sutlej River. By evening, reach Narkanda or Rampur and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
After breakfast, drive from Rampur towards Kalpa through the picturesque Kinnaur Valley. Enjoy the stunning drive alongside the Sutlej River and reach Reckong Peo. Visit Suicide Point, Roghi Village, and capture mesmerizing views of Kinnaur Kailash mountain peaks. By evening, enjoy the golden sunset from your hotel balcony and stay overnight in Kalpa.
Day 3
Today, the journey continues towards Nako, a beautiful high-altitude village located near the Indo-Tibet border. On the way, stop at the Khab Bridge, where the Spiti and Sutlej rivers meet. Upon reaching Nako, explore the serene Nako Lake (which may be partially frozen in January) and visit the ancient Nako Monastery. Spend the evening walking through the quiet lanes of the village and stay overnight in Nako.
Day 4
After breakfast, drive from Nako towards Tabo via Sumdo. If the route is open, visit Gue Village to see the famous 500-year-old naturally preserved Mummy of a Lama. Continue to Tabo and explore the thousand-year-old Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas. Spend your evening experiencing the calm atmosphere of the valley and stay overnight in Tabo.
Day 5
Start your day with a drive to Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti Valley. En route, visit the stunning Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff. If accessible, you can also trek a bit to witness the frozen Dhankar Lake view. Continue your drive to Kaza, check into your hotel, and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 6
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing around Kaza. Visit the world-famous Key Monastery, Kibber Village, and Chicham Bridge — the highest bridge in Asia. Depending on the snow conditions, you may also visit Langza (famous for its giant Buddha statue) and Hikkim (home to the world’s highest post office). Enjoy a cozy evening in Kaza and stay overnight.
Day 7
After an early breakfast, begin your return journey from Kaza. Drive back through Tabo and Nako, enjoying the last glimpses of the frozen Spiti landscapes. Reach Kalpa or Rampur by evening and relax after the long drive. Overnight stay in Kalpa or Rampur.
Day 8
Wake up early and start your final drive towards Chandigarh. Enjoy the scenic mountain roads via Shimla and Kufri. You’ll reach Chandigarh by evening, marking the end of your unforgettable winter Spiti adventure.
